Using a
Non Fiction Storybook As the Backdrop for Technical
Learning |
Can we
use stories to integrate literacy and technology? One
teacher at Susquehanna County Career and Technology
Center has done so. By reading a book about
Alzheimer's, health care technology students are
learning how to integrate technology, literacy
concepts, and learning. This concept offers technical
teachers and administrators many ways to use literacy
as a way to motivate students to become engaged in
learning their technical content. This presentation
will show many concepts to help teachers and
administrators see ways to lead students to mastery of
real-world technical competencies. By using this
method, students will be motivated to learn and apply
their technical content. |
